A Foundation of Faith. A Future of Impact.

For more than 60 years, Western Heights has been a cornerstone of the Albuquerque community. Rooted in faith, community, and service, we provide high-quality Christ-centered, family-focused childcare, home visiting, and education that has shaped generations.

Our classrooms are safe havens where curiosity is encouraged, confidence takes root, and children leave with hope and a solid foundation for a brighter future. As our community grows, so does the need for our services.

Through the generosity of donors, the Grow Fund campaign will allow us to expand our facilities and meet the growing demand for high-quality, affordable education, and wraparound support for families.

Our community is growing—and so is the need.

Every day, we meet families searching for trusted affordable care and education. But our facilities are at capacity. We see the children who need us. We hear the parents seeking stability and support.

More families than ever are counting on Western Heights, but we cannot grow our impact without expanding our space.

Your support today opens our doors wider—creating room for more classrooms, more resources, and more opportunities for children to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

How you can help us grow.

This is an opportunity to invest in the future of our community. When you give to the Grow Fund, your investment goes beyond buildings. You’re investing in generations of children and families who call Albuquerque home.

Western Heights is a trusted source for childcare and education, setting the standard for Christ-centered care in our community. Our legacy is built on a belief in the potential of every child, regardless of income or family circumstance.

Your support allows us to continue this vital work: expanding our facilities, attracting and retaining dedicated staff, and providing high-quality education and wraparound resources that help children and families thrive. With your partnership, we can welcome more families, strengthen our community, and prepare the next generation for successful  futures.

Together, we can ensure that every child has the chance to learn, grow, and flourish.

Our Plan

Phase 1

Infant & Toddler Spaces

Our first priority is to serve our youngest learners. Phase 1 includes the renovation of old storage rooms on the southeast corner of our building into a new, dedicated two-year-old classroom with direct access to a bathroom and playground—giving teachers more quality time with students and reducing transition time.

Our current two-year-old classroom will become a warm and welcoming infant & toddler room, complete with a permanent sink, new flooring, and updated furniture designed for safety and comfort.

We will also transform our current children’s garden into a vibrant playground environment, while relocating the garden space to the north side of our main building.

Together, these changes will create nurturing spaces that spark curiosity and joy for our littlest learners.

Phase 2

New Learning Spaces

To meet the growing demand for affordable, high-quality education, Phase 2 will add four new classrooms, each adaptable for any age group and equipped with sinks and shared bathrooms.

We will also build a new employee lounge and offices, which will allow us to transition our current staff spaces into much-needed art, counseling, behavioral, and family health support rooms. This expansion strengthens our ability to provide wraparound services that care not just for children, but for the whole family.

Phase 3

Safety, Revitalization &
Sustainability

The final phase will focus on safety, beautification and long-term sustainability. Details for this stage are under review with our community and leadership team. Projects may include updated security features, refreshed outdoor spaces, and enhancements to ensure our campus remains a safe haven for children and families for generations to come.
