1st Grade

Liz Trujillo
1st Grade Lead Teacher
I have been a first-grade teacher at WHLC for many years. My passion lies in watching children learn and grow, and I adapt lessons to meet their individual needs. Before teaching first grade, I worked as a third-grade teacher and worked with students with special needs. My children attended WHLC, and I loved how the staff interacted with them, which inspired me to join the school.
I enjoy how supportive the school community is and the way everyone helps one another. The Christian education here is amazing, and I’m grateful to be part of it.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to yard sales and selling at the flea market. A fun fact is that on Fridays, I attend a special needs dance with my niece, and I love embarrassing her by dancing. My grandson always brings a smile to my face. The emoji that represents me best is 💪 because with God, I am strong.
