Vivian Abeyta

Kindergarten Lead Teacher

I am in my second year as a Kindergarten teacher at Western Heights, where I am passionate about inspiring a love of learning and nurturing my students’ faith in Jesus. My goal is to create a classroom where children feel supported, confident, and excited to grow academically. I have 9 years of experience, including roles in preschool, as a substitute, and as a librarian. I joined WHLC because of its strong, supportive community, and the opportunity to work in an environment grounded in faith.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, crafting, and spending time with my family. A fun fact about me is that I can teach myself almost anything, from building things to crocheting. What brings me the most joy is seeing others happy. Emojis to describe me are ✨🎀, reflecting my servant heart and desire to use my gifts to serve others, as inspired by 1 Peter 4:10: “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another.”

About Kindergarten

In Kindergarten, we lay the foundation for a love of learning. Your child will begin reading and writing, explore numbers, and discover the world around them through hands-on activities, play, and Bible stories that point them to God’s love.
